Patient Experience

During your consultation/evaluation, a Sheffrin Men’s Health medical professional will ask you a series of questions to learn more about your symptoms and your lifestyle.

The first appointment helps us get to know you and takes about 45 minutes. Your consultation includes nutrition and exercise counseling, as well as a state of the art Body Analyzer examination to determine body composition, in body fat and muscle percentages.

Afterward, a nurse practitioner or physician assistant will review your medical history, perform a brief physical exam and draw blood for a comprehensive metabolic panel as well as Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen), Thyroid, lipids, and several other markers that may indicate current state of health as well as potential adjunctive treatments that may influence outcomes. We’ll conduct other blood work as necessary.

Generally speaking, lab results are returned within a few days. A Sheffrin Men’s Health physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner will contact you with the results.

If your testosterone levels are low and you are symptomatic, we will develop a custom plan for you and discuss these treatment options promptly.

Subsequent visits are usually ten minutes or less.
